In response to claims, the Headquarters Nigerian Army conducted a thorough investigation into the matter. The investigation revealed that the allegations of corruption and diversion of troops' Ration Cash Allowance (RCA) were incorrect and baseless.
It was discovered that the delay in the payment of the troops' RCA was due to administrative issues and not any form of corruption or diversion. The delay was a result of the transition process between the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General Alabi, and the incoming GOC, Brigadier General Jamiu Jimoh.
During this transition period, there were some administrative challenges that affected the timely payment of the troops' RCA. However, the issue has been resolved, and all outstanding payments have been made to the troops.
