IGP Attends Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in China

Shanghai, China - The Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, Ph.D., is currently in Shanghai, China, on his way to Lianyungang to attend the prestigious 2023 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum, Lianyungang (GPSCFL). This forum, which brings together international security experts and stakeholders, aims to address global security concerns and development strategies.

The IGP's presence at the global forum highlights his commitment to engaging with global stakeholders in order to enhance security management in Nigeria. The event serves as a platform for fostering international cooperation and discussing pressing security challenges that transcend borders. By participating in meaningful discussions and sharing best practices, the IGP hopes to promote peace, security, and sustainable development in an increasingly interconnected world.

During his visit, the IGP also held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Yuan Qinhua, Vice Governor and Director of Public Security of Jiangxi province, China. The meeting focused on exploring avenues to strengthen collaboration between China and Nigeria in the areas of security training, information sharing, and policing development. This step is crucial in fostering international partnerships and working towards shared goals of peace and prosperity.
