In a recent development, the National Executive Council (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed the appointment of two prominent figures as the new leaders of the party. Former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has been appointed as the national chairman of the APC, while Ajibola Bashir from Osun State will assume the role of national secretary.

This announcement was made during a well-attended NEC meeting held at the prestigious Transcorp Hilton in Abuja on Thursday. The confirmation of Messrs Ganduje and Bashir marks a significant change in leadership for the APC, as they replace Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore, who both resigned from their positions in July.

The installation of Ganduje as the national chairman comes as no surprise, given his vast political experience and admirable track record as the former Governor of Kano State. With his deep understanding of politics and leadership, Ganduje is expected to bring fresh ideas and strategies to drive the agenda of the APC forward.

Meanwhile, the appointment of Ajibola Bashir as the national secretary is seen as a strategic move by the party. Hailing from Osun State, Bashir is known for his exceptional organizational skills and impressive political acumen. These qualities make him a perfect fit for the role, as he takes over from Iyiola Omisore, who served the party diligently during his tenure.

The change in leadership within the APC reflects the party's commitment to rejuvenating its ranks and ensuring that it remains a force to be reckoned with in Nigerian politics. The confirmation of Ganduje and Bashir reinforces the party's confidence in their abilities to steer the APC towards greater success and unity.

As the nation eagerly watches these new developments, it is anticipated that the fresh perspective and dynamism brought by the new national chairman and secretary will inject renewed vigor into the APC and pave the way for substantial growth and achievements in the future.
