10th National Assembly Unveils New Principal Officers, List Below.

The National Assembly, Nigeria's legislative arm of the Government has unveiled its new leadership structure in the early hours of today. 

This has put an end to a series of lobbying, jostling, and speculations by Nigerians from various quarters as to who occupies what in the new leadership.

Senate principal officers:

1. Senate President-Senator Godswill Akpabio 

2. Deputy Senate President – Sen Barau Jibrin

3. Majority Leader – Sen Opeyemi Bamidele

4. Deputy Majority Leader - Sen Dave Umehi

5. Chief Whip- Sen Ali Ndume

6. Deputy Chief Whip- Sen Lola Ashiru

7. Minority Leader- Sen Simon Mwadkon

8. Deputy Minority Leader- Sen Oyewumi Olalere

9. Minority Whip- Sen Darlington Nwokocha
