Yesterday, Thursday, 25th of May 2023, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, commissioned Lagos Homes Housing project, Odo-Onosa Ayandelu, Agbowa in Epe Division of the State.
With the project being one of many other projects being commissioned simultaneously across the State, Sanwoolu was ably represented at the Epe event by his Special Adviser on Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende (RAK).
In a statement issued to the media through Mr. Ogunlende shortly after, Governor Sanwo-Olu mentioned that the development is one of the recently completed housing projects by the State' Ministry of Housing, affirming that the housing projects mark a significant step in addressing the housing challenges faced by Lagosians.
In his words;
"The provision of these housing projects is a significant step towards addressing the housing deficit faced by Lagos residents, particularly considering the rapidly growing population in the Epe Divisional axis."
On the importance of such projects on the economy of the state, he said, *_"These housing projects will undoubtedly stimulate commercial transactions, thereby boosting the economy of Lagos."
He went on to extend his profound gratitude to all those who ensured the project was a success, restating his commitment to improving living standards and delivering enhanced economic opportunities for Lagosians.
"On behalf of the State, I extend our gratitude to all those involved in the successful completion of these projects and express our appreciation to the residents of Odo-Onosa Ayandelu for their support and cooperation.
"Together, we will continue working towards a Lagos that offers quality housing, improved living standards, and enhanced economic opportunities for all." he stated.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals, among which were; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Housing, ESV Ayodeji, the highly respected Royal Father, HRM Oba Abdulganiyu Asumo Aderibigbe (Alayandelu of Odo Ayandelu), the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA, Hon. Akogun Wale Raji Anomo.
